Football Mania Official
Rules
To alleviate any confusion, below are the
official rules governing the Football Mania Raffle. You may also view
these rules by visiting the CharityMania website at
www.charitymania.com.
Please note; winning tickets are NOT posted on the
CharityMania website until late Tuesday afternoon.
- FootballMania begins the
first week of the professional football season (September 10, 2006).
- A ticket's total point value in any given
week is determines by the combined scores of the three teams listed
on the back of the ticket for that week. On the back of each
FootballMania ticket, you will see a different combination
of teams for each week of the season.
- A total of $900 in prize money is awarded
in each of the 17 weeks of the professional football season. Weekly,
the top four highest scoring tickets and the two lowest scoring
tickets win prizes. At the end of the season, the ticket with the
highest combined point total for all weeks and the ticket with the
lowest combined point total win grand prizes. See the front of your
ticket for details on prize money amounts.
- A FootballMania ticket is
eligible to win prizes only after the date that it is purchased and
entered online. In order to be eligible
for the grand prizes tickets must be purchased prior to week eight
of the season.
- Winners will be notified by a
representative of St. Jerome School. All prize money will be paid by
check and can either be mailed to the winner or picked up at St.
Jerome School or St. Jerome Rectory (winner's choice).
- When two or more tickets have a tie score,
prize money is added up and split amongst the winners. For example,
if two tickets are tied for the highest point total, the prize money
for first and second place are added together and divided by two. If
the prize money for first place is $500 and second place is $200,
then each of the two tickets would get $350. ($500. + $200 =
700 / 2 = $350.)
- All FootballMania tickets
are unique. No two tickets have the same three teams in any given
week. All teams have been randomly chosen.
- Football teams that have a bye (do not
play) in any given week are assigned their score for the buy week
from their previous week. Example: The Chicago Bears have a buy in
week two. In week one the Bears scored 17 points. 17 is the number
of points that would be assigned to the Bears in their buy week. If
the team has a bye in week one, then their score from the last week
of the pre-season is used.
- The minimum odds of winning are 1 in 47.7.
- Lastly, winning ticket numbers will be
posted in the church bulletin, on the school website (www.stjeromeschool.net)
and outside of the school.
Good Luck to
all that supported this fundraiser and enjoy the season!
