Wisdom > Principal's Corner

Welcome to St. Jerome School. My name is Peter Trumblay and I am the principal of St. Jerome School. I grew up on the south side of Chicago in the Marquette Park area. I am one of three children. My brother's name is Brian and he is married to Debbie. They have three sons: Tyler, Nick and Jacob. They are presently living in Georgia. My sister's name is Heidi and she is married to Dan. They have four children: Shelby, Danny, Kala and Katelynn. They live in Wisconsin. I am not married, but the students of SJ keep me busy and I would not trade it.  I attribute my hard work ethic and my love of learning to both my parents, but especially my mom.

I attended Nightingale Elementary School in the Gage Park area. In high school I attended Quigley south and played soccer, drama club, ski club and a variety of other clubs. After graduation of high school, I attended the college seminary at Loyola University. I graduated in 1987 with a bachelor degree in Organizational Communication and English with a minor in philosophy. I attended St. Mary of the Lake Seminary for a year and then began teaching at St. Casmir School.

For 13 years I have taught from 5th grade through high school. Most of my teaching career has been with high school students. During my teaching tenure, I was working on a double Master's degree. The first was in School Administration from St. Xavier University. The second Master's was from SXU in Special Education. I am currently working on my ED.D at Argosy University.

Presently, I live on the Northwest side of Chicago near St. Patrick's High School. I love to read, travel and I love being a student. My tenure thus far at St. Jerome School has been interesting, challenging and enjoyable to say the least.
